Jacob Louis Daily Memorial Scholarship
The Jacob Louis Daily Memorial Scholarship was established by the Yuma Fresh Vegetable Association to honor Jacob's legacy. Jacob passed away in 2009 from injuries sustained from a work related truck accident. He had just turned 24 and his family made the decision to donate his organs knowing it was what he would have wanted. Jake died a hero as he was able to give the give of life and save many people by being an organ donor.

Jesus Andrade Scholarship
Jesus Andrade was born in San Luis, Mexico and moved to Yuma with his family at the age of eleven. He attended Rancho Viejo Elementary School, Crane Jr. High, and Yuma High School. Thanks to scholarship donors, he was able to attend Arizona Western College and transfer to the University of Arizona where he completed a Bachelors Degree in Crop Production. He said, "I will always be grateful to all the people that helped me achieve my career goals. For this reason, I decided to establish a scholarship to help other students fulfill their goals and dreams."

Jim Carruthers Memorial Scholarship
Former AWC President, Dr. James R. Carruthers (Jim), served as a dynamic and visionary leader in education and as an Arizona State Representative. His passion for education led him to serve in various leadership capacities for AWC. He was instrumental in the creation of the Higher Education Consortium which is known as NAU-Yuma. This innovative concept paved the way for Yuma County students to attain their Bachelors, Masters, and specified doctoral degrees without leaving their home. Soon U of A and ASU followed suit. Jim’s motivation was excitement for learning. He managed to establish an atmosphere of friendliness, cooperation, and support to ensure that he and those around him always made the right decision for students, staff, and the community. His family has created the Jim Carruthers Memorial Scholarship to continue his legacy for education.

La Cosecha Scholarship
La Cosecha celebrates those students who chose to persist with their education despite challenging circumstances. Through generous donations from the Yuma community, La Cosecha helps AWC graduates continue their education at a four year college or university. Robert J. Moody Memorial Scholarship
The Robert J. Moody Memorial Scholarship is an endowment established to assist students majoring in agriculture at AWC. Bob Moody came to the Yuma area as the University of Arizona Agriculture Extension Agent in 1944. In the 1950's and 1960's, the Moody family farmed in the Yuma Valley. He was active in the Arizona Crop Improvement Association, the Arizona Pure Seed Association, Arizona Cattle Growers, Arizona Cotton Growers, and served on the University of Arizona Agriculture Extension Service Board. He was also intensely interested in the development of young people, serving as a 4-H Leader, helping to establish the Yuma County Junior Livestock Committee, and serving 25 years on the Yuma Union High School Board. Mr. Moody's family established this scholarship as a lasting tribute to his devotion to agriculture, education, and prosperity and growth of our community.
